El Matador is one of my favorite spots to paint. This small gem was juried into the California Gold Medal Juried Exhibition at the San Fernando Valley Arts and Cultural Center. It was previously juried into the LA Stories Show at Carter-Sexton Art Gallery. It is a study for a larger painting of El Matador. I am pleased that several of my high school students were also juried into the Carter-Sexton show.
